Frequently asked questions
Here's a bunch of questions we think are the ones that get asked the most when people have a chat with us.

The AEWV is for people who have a job offer from a New Zealand employer that’s officially accredited. It’s the most common option for skilled workers moving to NZ. You’ll need to meet skill, pay, and health requirements. Your job must be on the “green list” or clearly needed.
Some visas require one (like the AEWV), but not all. If you’re on a student visa finishing study, or your partner has a valid visa, you may qualify for an open visa without needing a job offer right away.
It depends on the visa type and how complete your documents are. For example, AEWVs often take a few weeks once submitted, but delays can happen. We help make sure everything’s right the first time to avoid issues.
You might be able to apply for a partnership-based visa. If they’re a citizen, resident, student, or worker, you may qualify. However, immigration will want strong proof your relationship is genuine.
If your job ends or you want to switch roles, you may need to apply for a new visa or variation. For other visa types like partnerships or post-study, a change in situation can also affect your eligibility. We can help you plan ahead and stay compliant.
